"I H8 U" was the 1st song ever played together by The OTOS, and therefore, was found fitting for the 1st track. "I H8 U" is actually a shortened version of what Dani originally wrote (including the drums), which had an additional 2 verses. "I Hate You" was originally written about Dani's Psych 101 teacher and Dani's stepdad, who is a gigantic prick.
You'd think if it was the 1st OTOS song ever played together, why wasn't it on the EP? Well 2 reasons:
1) The OTOS actually had 8 songs ready to play at that time, but only wanted to put out about 5-6 as a demo, or, unironically, an EP.
2) The OTOS actually had recorded "I Hate You" but the files were corrupted along with Dad's House, and every single vocal file.
lyrics
I HATE YOU
I REALLY DO
YOUR MAMA DOES TOO
SHE SAYS, "YOU'RE JUST A FUCK BOI!"
AND IF YOU DIED
NO ONE WOULD CRY
OH, THAT'S A LIE
I WOULD SHED TEARS OF JOY
I HATE YOU
AND EVERY MINUTE THAT YOU SPEND LIVING
I TAKE THE TIME TO THINK ABOUT KILLING
AND EVERY SECOND THAT YOU SPEND BREATHING
I IMAGINE YOUR BODY ON THE FLOOR BLEEDING
I HATE YOU - YES I DO
I HATE YOU - AND YOUR MAMA DOES TOO
I HATE YOU - WISH YOU WOULD GO AWAY
I HATE YOU - LISTEN TO THE WORDS I SAY
I'LL PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE
'CAUSE YOU'RE A DISGRACE
TO THE HUMAN RACE
NOT EVEN GONNA LIE
YOU DRIVE ME INSANE
HOPE YOU GET HIT BY A TRAIN
'CAUSE YOU'RE A FUCKING PAIN
WHEN ARE YOU GONNA DIE?
I HATE YOU
AND EVERY MINUTE THAT YOU SPEND LIVING
I TAKE THE TIME TO THINK ABOUT KILLING
AND EVERY SECOND THAT YOU SPEND BREATHING
I IMAGINE YOUR BODY ON THE FLOOR BLEEDING
I HATE YOU - YES I DO
I HATE YOU - AND YOUR MAMA DOES TOO
I HATE YOU - WISH YOU WOULD GO AWAY
I HATE YOU - LISTEN TO THE WORDS I SAY
Sunny's Drunk, better known to us as Jesse, is an amazing artist. Check him out, especially for those who like Crywank, flatsound, Mantits, & sad, melodic music in general. The OTOS
When I first listened to this album, I listened to it probably fifty times over again. We had the privilege of opening for them back in 16' or 17' For fans of grunge, especially Alice in Chains. The OTOS
